This role will serve as the primary escalation point for Level 2 and Level 3 issues, partnering with technology service owners to resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and enhance the reliability of endpoint and infrastructure systems.The ideal candidate brings strong engineering expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a focus on improving the employee technology experience across a diverse enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEndpoint & Device ManagementManage macOS endpoints including enrollment, configuration profiles, patching, and policy enforcement using MDM tools (Jamf preferred)Troubleshoot complex macOS issues and maintain endpoint compliance in partnership with security teamsIdentity & Access ManagementAdminister Okta (SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and application access)Support and troubleshoot Active Directory (accounts, group policies, OUs)Resolve escalated access and authentication issuesNetwork & ConnectivityTroubleshoot VPN connectivity (GlobalProtect, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA)Apply networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall rules) to diagnose issuesCollaborate with network and security teams on advanced escalationsCollaboration & Productivity ToolsProvide escalation support for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)Troubleshoot and support Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and AV systemsSecurity & ComplianceEnforce endpoint security standards (EDR tools, patch compliance, policies)Support security incidents and compliance auditsMaintain IT security best practices and controlsEscalation Management & DocumentationOwn complex cross-platform issues end-to-endAct as a bridge between L1 support and engineering teamsDevelop runbooks, knowledge base articles, and documentation to reduce repeat issuesExperienceRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, endpoint management, or enterprise IT infrastructureExperience handling Level 2/3 escalations in mid-to-large enterprise environmentsTechnical SkillsmacOS endpoint management (Jamf preferred)Okta administrationMicrosoft 365 suiteZscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and GlobalProtect VPNActive DirectoryNetworking fundamentalsEndpoint security / EDR toolsCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and systems-thinking approachExcellent communication skills across technical and business stakeholdersAbility to manage incidents calmly and independently from start to resolutionPreferred QualificationsExperience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management)Exposure to SIEM or security incident responseScripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)Familiarity with Windows endpoint managementCertifications: JAMF 200/300, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft 365 CertifiedApplications will be accepted until 6/15/2026The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off 401(k) plan and contribution Long-term/Short-term Disability Paid Parental Leave Employee Stock Purchase PlanDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
