You'll use SolidWorks to review and refine solutions and then work directly on the floor with machinists and fabricators to ensure those solutions are executed correctly. When something needs to change, you'll figure out how — and you won't wait to be told.\nWho thrives here\nYour background might be in engineering, or it might be in fabrication. What matters is that you've spent enough time in both worlds to know how a design decision plays out on the floor.\nYou hold yourself to a high standard — not because someone's watching, but because you care about the quality of your work. You notice details that others miss. You'd rather take an extra hour to get it right the first time than spend two days dealing with rework. You find something satisfying about a part that comes out exactly as it should.\nA degree in engineering is a plus. Floor time, fabrication experience, and the ability to think through a manufacturing problem from first principles matter more.\nWhat you'll be responsible for\nDesign weldments, sheetmetal, solid bodies, and assemblies in SolidWorks — shop drawings produced to a standard that fabricators can work from without calling you over\nProgram laser cutting nests for sheetmetal\nDetermine how customer-designed parts will be manufactured — means, methods, sequence\nWork daily alongside machinists, and fabricators to keep production moving and solve problems as they arise\nManage your projects through to delivery — schedule, vendors, quality\nDevelop and own QC plans for your projects\nWhat we're looking for\nHands-on experience in metal fabrication, welding, or machining — you know how parts are made, not just how they're drawn\nSolidWorks proficiency, or strong CAD skills and a demonstrated ability to get up to speed fast\nAttention to detail that shows up in your work, not just your resume\nEnough organizational sense to track a project with many moving parts and stay ahead of problems\nCNC programming experience is a genuine advantage\nWe're a small team with high standards.
