This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, AI-enhanced SDLC and is passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.\r\nKey Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize SQL Server databases for high availability, scalability, and performance.\r\nLead and support Azure migration efforts for legacy databases and data services.\r\nDevelop and maintain cloud-native data solutions using Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Cosmos, and other relevant services.\r\nOperate in an AI-driven SDLC environment: collaborate with AI copilots to convert stakeholder requirements into structured data models and specs.\r\nUse generative AI tools to iterate on database architectures and performance strategies.\r\nPair-program with AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to write, refactor, and validate SQL in real-time.\r\nImplement tools for automated validation, bug prediction, and self-healing data pipelines.\r\nCollaborate with application engineers to ensure seamless integration between backend data systems and product features.\r\nMonitor and troubleshoot database performance, security, and compliance issues.\r\nRequired Qualifications 6+ years of experience in database engineering with a focus on SQL Server.\r\nStrong understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.\r\nExperience in database modeling using 3rd Normal form and data architecture.\r\n3–5 years of experience in No-SQL such as Cosmos.\r\nSolid knowledge of SQL internals in Azure SQL Database Hyperscale.\r\nStrong experience optimizing database queries and stored procedures, including monitoring database performance from both system and database perspectives.\r\nExperience using SQL Server side Trace.\r\nProven experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and cloud-native data architectures.\r\nExpertise in reviewing stored proc performance, reading execution plans and making optimizations.\r\nDesigning and writing high-performance SQL queries and table designs.\r\nFamiliarity with AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot or similar tools.\r\nKnowledge of distributed databases and ELT tools, data stream processing tools is a big plus.\r\nAbility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.\r\nAbility to meet the location requirement outlined above.\r\nSalary & Benefits Regular position.
