Responsibilities include the daily oversight of the maintenance operations, parts, customer service and P/L. The Intermodal Depot Manager will work closely with all Service Supervisors.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDirect fleet maintenance and outside repair functions in accordance with all General Express programs and policies\nManage equipment downtime to ensure expectation of equipment availability\nEnsure PM program compliance for all equipment assigned\nEnsure customer equipment repairs are performed in compliance with designated programs\nMonitor and manage cost controls for multiple shops\nOversite and management of Parts Inventories and shop tooling for multiple locations\nEffectively communicate with customers, operational teams and senior management\nResponsible for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results\nManage employee production and shop overtime\nPerform safety and work quality audits on regular basis\nComplete other projects and tasks as assigned\nContribute to the General Express program by assisting, from time to time, the Director and/or Vice President of Maintenance and other team members, in the development, evaluation and implementation of best practices and policies\nWe adhere to CDC, OSHA, DOT and state and local requirements. All employees and visitors are expected to comply with policies to safeguard our employees and customers.\nQualifications:\nProficient in analytical review of data and cost trends\nStrong understanding of the Intermodal industry\nAble to travel as needed on regular basis\nStrong sense of both Internal and External customer service\nProficient in Microsoft Office\nExperienced with Depot Systems preferred\nValid driver's license\nCOMPANY OVERVIEW:\nGeneral Express is a premier provider of transportation and logistics services.
