Job Summary Our client a leading retail & consumer goods provider is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team! This position is located in Irving, Texas.Core Responsibilities Designing and developing applications using Java to manage an IoT based event driven system using technologies like AWS IoT, Spring state machine, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Kubernetes, Docker, NoSql databases and Git/Github/GitlabUtilizing AWS with services such as Cloud Formation Templates, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway(Apigee), and many moreEnsuring that the components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintainRequired Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience8+ years of experience with development and designing applications using Java, Spring, Spring boot frameworks5+ years experience in relational or non-relational database management systems5+ years experience with Unit and Integration testing with Junit, Selenium, Cucumber JS unit testing library (Jest, Mocha)5+ years experience developing with large microservice-based architectures, container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes/Amazon EKS 3+ years experience in cloud tech (AWS) Understanding of MVC / MVVM / MVP structure and development patternsPreferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Good experience with API development using Java and MongoDBFamiliarity with modern build pipelines and toolsFamiliarity with code versioning Git (Gitlab)Familiarity with backlog management tools like JIRAKey Competencies & Behaviors Strong technical skillsStrong communication skills Time management skills Work Environment Location: Irving, TexasHybridCompensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
