Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)Jackson Dental | Belle Fourche, SDFull-Time | 4 Days per WeekJackson Dental is expanding to include a Speech and Development program as part of our functional, whole-health model of care. We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist who is excited to help build and grow a program that integrates speech, oral function, and overall health.This is not a traditional school or hospital-based role. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative clinical team while helping shape a new and growing service line within our practice.Position OverviewThe Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, and oral motor concerns while working within a collaborative, function-focused care model. This role includes working with children and potentially adults, with an emphasis on identifying and addressing the root causes of speech and developmental concerns.This is a 4-day per week position, offering flexibility and work-life balance in a supportive, team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plansDeliver therapy using a hybrid approach that blends evidence-based techniques with play and engagement, ensuring each child remains motivated while making measurable progressCollaborate closely with dentists, myofunctional therapists, and clinical team members to evaluate the whole patient, not just symptomsContribute to identifying underlying factors impacting speech and development, including:Airway and breathing patternsOral function and tongue postureGrowth and developmentOcclusion and need for orthodontic expansion or interventionProvide ongoing therapy sessions (articulation, language, oral motor, and related areas)Educate and guide parents to support carryover at homeMaintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient visitsParticipate in building protocols, workflows, and growth of the speech programContribute to a positive, patient-centered experienceWhat Makes This Role DifferentOpportunity to work in a truly integrated care model alongside dental and myofunctional providersFocus on identifying and treating root causes, not just symptomsSmaller, more intentional caseloads with a focus on outcomesAbility to help build and shape a program from the ground upGreater flexibility and autonomy compared to traditional settingsA supportive team that values growth, collaboration, and patient careProfessional Growth & DevelopmentOpportunity to expand into myofunctional therapy within a functional care modelPathway to myofunctional therapy certification with financial support providedOngoing collaboration with providers focused on airway, oral function, and developmentQualificationsMaster’s degree in Speech-Language PathologyActive or eligible for South Dakota licensureCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CF considered)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsInterest in oral function, airway, or myofunctional therapy is a plusSchedule & CompensationFull-time, 4 days per weekCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunities for growth as the program expandsAbout Jackson DentalJackson Dental is a growing, team-focused practice committed to functional dentistry and whole-health care.
