We also research and investigate leading-edge observing technologies and assist in their integration into operations.\n\nSTC is seeking candidates to hire a Verification Engineer (Quality Assurance) to support the National Weather Service (NWS) on the AWIPS Application Environment contract. AWIPS (Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System) is the mission‑critical platform used by forecasters at National Weather Service sites nationwide to analyze environmental data and issue the forecasts, watches, and warnings that help protect lives and property.\n\nAs a Verification Engineer, you will support human-level validations associated with Gen‑AI led test‑driven design processes. Your primary responsibility will be to help ensure that AI-generated outputs are thoroughly evaluated and consistently align with established system expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to identify discrepancies, analyze results, and support validation strategies that help maintain system integrity and reliability.\n\nThis role requires strong attention to detail and an interest in quality assurance, testing, and modern software development practices.
