The Product Manager is a senior-level role helping drive product design, development and market demand. He/she will work across modules (workbench, modeler, blotter, compliance, settlements, etc.) and instrument types (equity, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.) and handle the technical aspects of the product. This role will interface with clients, the sales team and market participants to understand and design products and processes. The Product Manager will also drive requirements analysis, functional design and user interfaces to ensure our products are compelling and demonstrate value to our customers and the market.We employ 170+ of the best and brightest developers and quality engineers in the software industry. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space.Responsibilities:Perform market analysis and builds product plansGather requirements from internal & external parties (clients, partners, vendors, etc.) and create business requirement specificationsPrepare product impact assessment, reviews with engineering groups, estimates effortSummarize the task for wider internal & external reviews and funding decisionsAnalyze priorities, maintains the product calendar and works with engineering to ensure that the development calendar is progressing according to planCreate functional specifications and reviews with relevant partiesReview development process on an ongoing basisDemonstrate prototypes to interested parties, assess usabilityReview the QA and documentation process on an ongoing basisPrepare product literature and placement strategySpeak at public events or author industry articles as appropriateCoordinate training and support resourcesWork in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environmentRequirements:BS in Computer Science or equivalent field10+ years of related experienceSpecific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills; ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sectorStrong contributor with high motivation, with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidanceTechnical experience includes:experience in either product management or systems analysis, developing and delivering a multi-tier financial applicationproven skills in managing development of similar products and a strong understanding of the technology development lifecyclehands-on experience with coding, architecture and tech designproven ability to do requirements analysis, functional design and user interfaceconsulting expertise and practiceability to research, analyze and develop product planscapability to develop and manage cross functional processes and project timelines
