Keep reading.\n\nThe Data Support Engineer is responsible for providing Tier 1 support for the enterprise data platform while developing foundational data engineering skills. This role serves as the first point of contact for data-related incidents, user access requests, reporting issues, and platform support needs. The position also assists with data integration monitoring, user provisioning, documentation, and basic data engineering activities. The successful candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and business users across the organization.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nServe as the first point of contact for data platform support requests and incidents.\n\nMonitor daily data loads, integrations, and scheduled processes.\n\nInvestigate and resolve routine data issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.\n\nRespond to user questions regarding dashboards, reports, datasets, and data availability.\n\nCreate and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.\n\nProvision, modify, and remove user access across data and reporting platforms.\n\nSupport data quality validation activities and investigate data discrepancies.\n\nAssist with data cleansing, transformation, and standardization efforts.\n\nParticipate in testing and deployment activities for new data integrations.\n\nHelp maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and technical specifications.\n\nWork directly with business users to understand data-related issues and requirements.\n\nEducate users on available reporting tools and data resources.\n\nAssist with training materials and user documentation.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems , Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\n0-3 years of experience in IT support, analytics, data management, or related technical roles.\n\nBasic understanding of databases and SQL.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent customer service and communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExposure to reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.\n\nBasic knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.\n\nExperience with ERP systems such as SyteLine, SAP, Dynamics, or similar business applications.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks .\n\nBasic programming experience in SQL, Python, or similar technologies.\n\nUnderstanding of master data management and data governance concepts.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
