They are responsible for the design & planning of storeroom resets, the build of new storerooms, and for leading related projects (e.g., crib crawls, physical inventory reviews) through successful implementations utilizing LEAN tools and methodologies.\r\nEssential Job Duties And Responsibilities\r\nPerforms project management duties and oversee assigned account implementations; participate in and deliver Lean projects that raise quality and increase speed for the Vallen implementation process.\r\nAssists with development and presentation of proposals to prospective new systems accounts for Vallen implementation; assess current state and prepare proposed timelines, scope of work documents, etc.\r\nUpon business award, plans, develops and manages to implementation timelines using project management software, g. Smartsheet and Microsoft Visio, preferred.\r\nAssists with defining customer specifics and SOPs as it pertains to the designated customer and servicing site.\r\nIdentifies, plans and coordinates activities and/or teams required for the implementation of local system accounts.\r\nPrepares and presents customer process flow-charting and analysis.\r\nCoordinates activities for customer catalog set up and ensure its integrity.\r\nDevelops, delivers and/or coordinates communications with the Vallen project team and customer.\r\nCollaborates with the National Accounts team to develop enhanced customer inventory analysis methods, templates, and presentations; leads crib crawl and physical inventory implementations and manages activities using Smartsheet.\r\nCollaborates with the National Accounts team to determine future customer expectations and develop tools, processes, and programs as may be required to assure Vallen is a World Class provider of systems selling solutions.\r\nAssist with training region and site personnel.\r\nResearches and identifies process improvements, computer programs, etc. to improve delivery stated implementation objectives.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nJob Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years applicable experience. Applicable experience should include:\r\nWorking for a distributor of MRO products in sales, operations or purchasing\r\nWorking in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably in the storeroom or tool crib\r\nWorking in a purchasing/inventory management position in an industrial environment replenishing stock materials\r\nProject Management knowledge; experience using Smartsheet preferred\r\n6 Sigma Yellow or Green Belt\r\nKnowledge in work flow and efficient material storage utilization\r\nUnderstanding of blueprints / drawing preferred; construction background a plus\r\nMechanically minded, ability to have conceptual understanding of future state storeroom and warehouse layouts\r\nAbility to create drawings for increased flow and future state drawings of storerooms and warehouses.\r\nDemonstrated knowledge of ISO Standards\r\nDemonstrated knowledge of QS9000 Quality Standards\r\nGeneral knowledge of SXe, Excel, databases, Word, Power Point, MS Project; Smartsheet and MS Visio preferred.\r\nSolid organizational skills and strong customer service orientation\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\r\n(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.):\r\nMay have travel requirements with limited advance notice.\r\nOccasionally requires long and varied hours.\r\nWork environment may not be temperature controlled; must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments.\r\nMust have the ability to work in dusty conditions.\r\nMay be required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment (shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.)\r\nMust be able to handle and work physical inventory; required to lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance following standard operating and safety procedures.
