This position is cross-trained in core ACH and wire processes, enabling flexible support within the broader Payment Operations team.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nProcess routine outgoing and incoming wire transfers under established protocols and service level agreements.\r\nSupport daily ACH file scheduling, balancing, and end-of-day reconciliation activities.\r\nComplete basic wire and ACH exception handling tasks, such as item returns, stop payments, and file repairs.\r\nReview and archive customer documents (e.g., Funds Transfer Agreements, affidavits) to ensure compliance with retention and verification requirements.\r\nConduct callback verifications for designated wire transfers in accordance with risk and approval thresholds.\r\nMonitor payment activity for irregularities and escalate issues to senior staff or management as needed.\r\nAssist with updating customer setups for ACH origination and maintaining related documentation.\r\nRespond to internal and external requests for payment research and documentation retrieval.\r\nBack up other desks across ACH and wire functions to ensure consistent service delivery and operational continuity.\r\nMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\r\n1-3 years of banking operations experience, preferably in ACH or wire processing environments.\r\nBasic knowledge of NACHA Operating Rules, BSA, Reg. E, and related federal payment regulations (or willingness to train).\r\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).\r\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\r\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.\r\nCapacity to work under deadlines in a high-volume, accuracy-driven environment.\r\nESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\r\nAbility to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.\r\nAbility to work under stress and meet deadlines.\r\nAbility to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.\r\nAbility to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.\r\nAbility to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
