In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our organization's data strategy forward, ensuring that data is leveraged effectively across all departments to drive business decisions and innovation. You will oversee the development and implementation of data solutions, processes, and governance frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making and optimize business outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nData Strategy Development:\nCollaborate with leadership to define and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.\nIdentify opportunities to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across the organization.\nData Enablement Leadership:\nLead a team responsible for data governance, data architecture, data integration, data maintenance, data operations, and data analytics.\nFoster a culture of data-driven decision-making and ensure alignment of data initiatives with organizational goals.\nData Infrastructure and Tools:\nOversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of data management tools and technologies.\nEnsure scalability, security, and reliability of data infrastructure to support business growth and operational efficiency.\nData Quality and Compliance:\nEstablish and enforce data quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).\nImplement processes for data cleansing, validation, and normalization to maintain high data integrity.\nCross-functional Collaboration:\nPartner with IT, business intelligence, and analytics teams to integrate data solutions into business processes and applications.\nWork closely with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.\nTraining and Development:\nDevelop training programs to enhance data literacy across the organization.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.\nStay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.\nRequirements:\nRequirements\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field\nProven experience (5+ years) in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role\nStrong understanding of data governance principles, data architecture, and data integration techniques\nProficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., MS Fabric, SQL, Python, R)\nProficiency in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)\nIn-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and their underlying architecture\nStrong understanding of cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Amazon RDS, Microsoft Azure SQL Database)\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbally.\nDemonstrated experience in project management and driving large-scale data initiatives from inception to implementation\nStrong understanding of Development and Change management processes (e.g., Agile, SAFe, ITIL, SDLC)\nAbility to efficiently work with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders\nReflects the qualities of “Hungry, Humble, and Smart”\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree preferred\nProfessional certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is highly desirable\nLocal to the Kansas City Metro Area\nBenefits:\nAt Performance Contracting our employees are our greatest asset.
