QC Visual InspectorThe QC Visual Inspector is responsible for performing quality control inspections on sterile and non-sterile compounded medications within a 503A compounding pharmacy environment. This role ensures that finished products, including vials, capsules, and other compounded preparations, meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards prior to release.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a cleanroom setting, and a commitment to compliance and patient safety.Key Responsibilities Visual Inspection & Quality CarePerform detailed visual inspection of compounded sterile and non-sterile products, including vials, capsules, and other dosage forms.Inspect for particulate matter, discoloration, container integrity, fill accuracy, labeling accuracy, and overall product appearance.Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, and labeling compliance prior to release.Ensure products meet internal SOPs, USP standards, and regulatory requirements before approval.Document inspection findings accurately and in real time within designated systems.Escalate discrepancies, defects, or quality concerns to the Quality team or Pharmacist in Charge promptly.Cleanroom Compliance & DocumentationFollow all gowning and cleanroom protocols, including sterile and non sterile procedures.Maintain compliance with USP standards and company policies at all times.Maintain a clean, organized, and audit ready workspace within the cleanroom environment.Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and uphold a culture of safety and compliance.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and ability to identify defectsAbility to work in a regulated, compliance driven environmentComfort working in a cleanroom settingAbility to stand for extended periodsPreferred Qualifications:Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standingPrior experience in compounding pharmacy or pharmaceutical manufacturingFamiliarity with USP guidelines and sterile compounding standardsExperience in quality control or visual inspection rolesSkillsExcellent observational skillsAbility to follow written procedures and SOPs preciselyStrong documentation skillsAbility to receive and implement feedbackProfessional communication skillsCommitment to safety, compliance, and teamworkPhysical RequirementsAbility to visually inspect small particulates and fine detailAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsManual dexterity for handling vials, capsules, and small componentsBenefits:Company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid Holidays, Floating Holidays, and PTORTD EcoPass for public transportationOpportunities for professional growth and advancementEqual Opportunity Employer:VPI Compounding Pharmacy is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
