We are the next generation of workplace health centers.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides excellent care to our patients, acting as a frontline representative of our Patient Promise: We are only and always about the patient. We promise to always fight for their greatest good. The RN provides medical care at the direction of the provider of the Health Center based on the needs of the patient and works to meet the individual needs of each person that walks in the doors of the Health Center.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvides complete patient assessment, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures. Gathers and assesses objective and subjective data from the patient.\nDocuments data and assessments in the patient record. May use a computer system and information technology to ensure standard documentation, coding, and completion.\nAssists the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.\nExecuting medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and their competency.\nPatient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers.\nMedication reconciliation, management, patient compliance, inventory, education.\nOperating medical equipment.\nMaintaining medical supplies, inventory, and disposal.\nEnsures regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.\nThe position may include triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation.\nMay use general office skills including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, copying.\nExcellent customer service skills are needed for interacting with patients, families, and caregivers.\n\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES\nRequired:\nRN with a current nursing license in state of practice\nGraduate of an accredited nursing program\n1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred\nMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal requirements\nMust be able to interpret and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of Proactive MD\nWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThis job primarily operates in a medical office environment and is required to interact with patients for the majority of the workday. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are:\nEffective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel intermittently throughout the day.\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time.\nEmployee will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds\n\nPOSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK\nThis role is considered non-exempt.
