{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"852697dabbc1de30742a2bbb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/852697dabbc1de30742a2bbb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/852697dabbc1de30742a2bbb","title":"Construction Assembler","description":"General Assembler\nLocation:Fenton, MI\n**Shift: **All Shifts availble\n6 days/week\nSunday's voluntary\n**Pay Rate: **$18- $20.54/hour\nSummary\nWe are seeking aGeneral Assemblerto work on all shifts at our**Fenton locations. **Monday – Friday, with overtime as required on weekends as needed for production.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nAssemble walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, plastics, drywall and composites of multiple materials.\nMeasure and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from Supervisor.\nShape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.\nUse various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.\nEnsure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as tape measures, levels, framing squares; corrects problems as needed.\nFit and install windows and doors.\nFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat Requirements Are Needed\nMust be able to read a tape measure\nComfortable working with sheet metal\nAbility to understand directions and read blueprints.\nExperience as a skilled carpenter, drywall technician, framer, or general laborer required.\nExperience working with different carpentry materials, and understanding of carpentry techniques/methods of installation construction.\nGood understanding of basic math and ability to read a tape measure.\nAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.\nWalking/Standing/Bending for long periods of time.\nPhysical & Mental Requirements\nMust have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties. Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate objects, tools, and controls.\nWhat You Get Paid\nThe position pays a competitive hourly rate.
