Job Description OR Technician (Surgical Technologist)Location: Sugar Land, TX 77479Duration: Contract AssignmentShift: Day ShiftHours: 42.5 Hours per WeekSchedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PMResponsibilitiesPrepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.Function as a scrub assistant during surgical and invasive procedures.Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.Anticipate surgeon needs and efficiently pass instruments and supplies during procedures.Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed.Perform instrument counts and ensure surgical supplies are accounted for.Support perioperative patient care and contribute to positive surgical outcomes.Act as a resource and role model for other staff members when appropriate.Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through NBSTSA or TS-C (Tech in Surgery – Certified) through NCCT.Strong knowledge of sterile processing, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.Recent experience in:General SurgeryGynecology (GYN)ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)OrthopedicsUrologyVascular SurgeryRoboticsMako RoboticsPreferred experience in Neuro Spine and Pediatric Surgery.Required SkillsSurgical Scrub ExperienceOperating Room ProceduresSurgical InstrumentationSterile TechniqueRobotics SurgeryMako RoboticsGeneral SurgeryOrthopedicsUrologyVascular SurgeryGYN ProceduresENT ProceduresTeam CollaborationPatient SafetyPerioperative CareFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169About Navitas Healthcare, LLCIt is a Joint Commission Certified / WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
