This internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the design, development, and assembly of automated production equipment used in electronics manufacturing. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to support ongoing projects and learn about factory automation systems from concept through delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist in the design and drafting of mechanical parts and assemblies using EPLAN or similar electrical design software\n\nSupport the development and testing of custom automation equipment\n\nParticipate in system integration, assembly, and documentation\n\nCollaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure complete system functionality\n\nConduct basic research and help prepare technical documentation or reports\n\nQualifications/Experience Requirements\n\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field\n\nStrong interest in automation, robotics, or industrial systems\n\nBasic proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, equivalent\n\nStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively\n\nEagerness to learn and apply electrical design principles in real‑world automation systems\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience electrical prototyping, wiring, or panel building\n\nFamiliarity with automation systems, PLC programming, or industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, PROFINET)\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes\n\nUnderstanding of manufacturing and safety standards (e.g., UL, CE)\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nHands‑on experience in a global automation company\n\nMentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to real customer projects\n\nA collaborative and innovative work environment\n\nCompetitive internship compensation\n\nDuration\nWinter 2025 (with potential for extension or future employment)\n\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates should submit a resume and a short cover letter describing their interest in automation and relevant coursework or experience to Daniel.Vanaken@ipte.com .
