Senior Estimator

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction projects. As a key member of our team, the Estimator will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work and estimate costsAssist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction projectsCollaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that estimates are accurate and completeMonitor and analyze project costs, identifying and addressing potential cost overrunsFollow safety protocols and wear protective gear as requiredCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assigned QualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with experience in a construction setting preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusProficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, HCSS, or Bid2WinA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
