As a leading provider of engineered plastics and composite solutions, our team works together to solve complex manufacturing challenges and deliver exceptional results for our customers\n\nWe are seeking an Engineering Program Manager to join our Engineering team and play a key role in coordinating new product development, APQP, customer launches, and strategic engineering initiatives. This position will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers to drive projects forward, manage priorities, and ensure key deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoordinate and track outsourcing activities related to tooling, fixtures, quality gauges, and manufacturing engineering.\nCreate, submit, and track Engineering purchase orders and project-related orders.\nDevelop and maintain Engineering procedures, work instructions, APQP processes, and supporting documentation.\nManage order entry for new projects, including sample orders, shop orders, and outsourcing purchase orders.\nDevelop, track, manage, and communicate Engineering department metrics.\nSupport quoting activities by reviewing quote packages for accuracy and completeness, obtaining supplier quotes, building quote lines in Sunset, and supporting on-time quote completion.\nManage sample submission activities with Application Engineers and customers.\nManage Engineering tool inventory, including location identification, tracking, and disposition when necessary.\nSupport special projects and strategic Engineering initiatives.\nSupport cost-reduction projects and continuous improvement initiatives.\nProvide guidance and recommendations on Engineering program activities and requirements.\n\nQualifications:\n\n2+ years of Experience supporting new product development, APQP, product launches, or automotive/manufacturing programs preferred.\nBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.\nAbility to manage multiple programs, priorities, and deadline in a fast-paved manufacturing environment.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify issues and drive them toward resolution.\nStrong computer and systems skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office/Project and experience working with ERP, quoting, and other project management systems.\nExperience with Sunset or similar manufacturing/quoting software preferred.\nWork Environment and Expectations:\n100% onsite position in Saline, Michigan.\nOffice environment with occasional time spent on the warehouse and manufacturing floor - adhering to all company safety policies and use of PPE while on production floor\nOccasional extended hours or additional support may be required based on project and customer needs.\nWhy Work at MMI?\nA rich Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Long and Short-Term Disability (Company Paid), a robust Wellness Program, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) Retirement Plan with matching.\nPaid Time Off\nUp to Ten (10) paid holidays (including one Diversity Holiday and Wellness Day)\nPerfect Attendance and Employee Referral Bonus opportunities (up to $200 per referral)\nOpportunities for growth and job training, for energetic, career-minded individuals.\nLocated in Saline, MI just minutes from Planet Fitness, Emagine Saline, Briarwood Mall and hundreds of local businesses!\n\nMMI is a plastic injection molding and engineering solutions provider headquartered in Saline, Michigan, with offices in Troy, Warren, and Monterrey, Mexico.
