Seeking a resource to modernize and convert a complex legacy Microsoft Access application into a Microsoft Power Apps solution (primarily model-driven app) using Microsoft Dataverse and Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate including analysis and remediation of substantial VBA and macro-driven business logic.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the existing Access solution (tables, queries, forms/reports, VBA modules, and macros) to identify business rules, validation logic, automations, and dependencies.Translate VBA/macro logic into target-state implementations (Dataverse business rules where appropriate, Power Automate flows, and/or Power Apps logic), documenting gaps and proposed alternatives.Design and build a model-driven Power App aligned to user roles and end-to-end workflows.Design Dataverse schema (tables, relationships, constraints, choice fields) and implement security (roles, teams, field-level security as needed) and auditing.Define and execute a migration approach (data mapping, cleansing, validation, and cutover planning) and support UAT/production stabilization.Required Qualifications5+ years delivering enterprise applications (low-code and/or traditional) with strong business-to-technical translation skills 4+ years hands-on experience building Power Apps, with 2+ year focused on model-driven apps 3+ years experience with Microsoft Dataverse data modeling and security design Proven experience with complex Microsoft Access applications, including substantial VBA and macros: reading/debugging/documenting VBA, analyzing/refactoring Access macros and event-driven form logic, and translating embedded business rules/automation to Power Platform equivalents Understanding of Power Platform ALM (solutions, managed/unmanaged, environment promotion, deployment practices)Experience designing solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements (performance, auditability, supportability, security)
