Kitchen Support / DMO

Job description We are looking for a talented Kitchen Support/DMO to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be operating the Dish machine, cleaning all dishware, utensils, pots and pans in a timely fashion. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. As well as assisting with the necessary prep work as needed to keep the line stocked to fulfill orders, assisting in cleaning and closing the kitchen. Other responsibilities that you will be required would be assisting the chef and or lead line cook in routine cleaning projects. As well as assisting the Chef and lead line cook in preparing orders for the tasting room. To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong attention to detail skills, a clean as you go attitude, great communication skills, a team attitude, a desire to expand your kitchen skills and grow within our kitchen. Qualified candidates will preferably have previous experience in a high paced kitchen, have strong teamwork ethics, have high standards of quality, the ability to learn and a desire to be part of a very creative kitchen environment. As our kitchen support/DMO you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen. Kitchen Support Responsibilities: Operate the dish machine to wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans or by hand. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area. Must work clean and follow proper sanitation procedures and health codes and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations. Set up, clean and close the dish area and kitchen. Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food handling practices Assist with prep work before and during opening and closing hours. Assist the lead cook with the line work and help prepare orders within the allotted ticket times. Follow directions thoroughly, and precisely. Able to ask questions if unclear of directions or procedure. Follow recipes, plate specs, and directions thoroughly. Have strong communication skills and teamwork ethics. Must be able to multi-task, work with sense of urgency and work consistently under pressure. Strong attention to detail and quality required. Requirements: Minimum of one years’ worth of experience in a similar position preferred. Demonstrable knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen equipment Ability to follow directions and communicate professionally.
