Job Description
Do you have a passion for archaeology and managing cultural resource projects?
We seek a skilled cultural resource specialist to lead fieldwork, analyze finds, and prepare documentation. You'll manage small -mid-size projects, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proven ability to lead archaeological surveys, excavations, and develop and implement treatment and mitigation plans.
Expertise in CEQA/NEPA, Section 106, AB 52, and SB 18 consultations.
Coordinates project tasks (archaeology, architectural history, and/or paleontology) to meet cost and schedule objectives and is responsible for project performance to meet client and company objectives.
Oversee project tasks and coordinate with clients, regulators, team members and other stakeholders.
Desired skill and Expertise:
Excellent and proactive verbal communication skills are required.
Demonstrates strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research capabilities.
Demonstrate initiative, independent thinking, good problem-solving skills, excellent field skills.
Education and Experience:
5-10 years' local experience in Southern California.
Master's in Archaeology/Historic Preservation or a related field is required.
A Registered Professional Archeologist (RPA) a plus.

Pay: $55,953.26 - $67,384.57 per year
