This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure supporting highly available, business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, Docker, and Linux, along with experience supporting production environments in a highly regulated industry.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and KMS.\nSupport the migration of mission-critical applications and data from on-premises environments to AWS.\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.\nDeploy and support containerized environments using Kubernetes/EKS and Docker.\nIntegrate cloud infrastructure deployments with CI/CD pipelines and established DevOps practices.\nImplement cloud security best practices including IAM policies, network segmentation, encryption, key management, and vulnerability remediation.\nEnsure cloud environments meet applicable security, risk, and compliance requirements, including PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and FFIEC.\nPartner with Security and Compliance teams to support internal and external audits, including evidence collection and responses to audit requests.\nDesign and implement highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions.\nImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar platforms.\nTroubleshoot complex production infrastructure issues across multiple layers of the technology stack and perform root cause analysis.\nSupport vulnerability management and patching programs to ensure remediation meets established SLAs.\nParticipate in a 24/7 production on-call rotation.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation covering cloud infrastructure, configurations, policies, procedures, and operational standards.\nCollaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and business teams to develop technical plans, define backlog stories, and deliver solutions through production.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure roles.\n3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.\nStrong experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and KMS.\nStrong hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably AWS EKS.\nExperience with Docker and containerized application environments.\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.\nHands-on experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and mature DevOps engineering practices.\nExperience supporting highly available, business-critical production systems.\nExperience implementing cloud security and compliance controls aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC, or comparable regulatory frameworks.\nExperience implementing monitoring and observability solutions for complex production systems.\nExperience with disaster recovery, high availability, incident response, and root cause analysis.\nStrong technical documentation, communication, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nCurrent AWS or comparable cloud certification.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.\nAbility to successfully complete required background and drug screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within FinTech, banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.\nExperience supporting high-volume transactional systems.\nKnowledge of ACH, EFT, Real-Time Payments (RTP), or FedNow.\nExperience with AppDynamics or similar application monitoring platforms.\nExperience with container security platforms such as Twistlock/Prisma Cloud or Aqua Security.\nDevelopment or scripting experience with Python, C#, Ruby, or similar languages.\nAbout Us:\nAt Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
