Commissions Operations Analyst

Job Overview: Commissions Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing commission data, customer information, and carrier documentation to drive accurate and timely application of commissions. They collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve discrepancies and identify process improvements. This role analyzes and resolves payment, statement, and system discrepancies by collaborating with internal and external teams. The Commission Operations Analyst prepares operational deliverables and identifies process and system improvements. Job Responsibilities: Conduct thorough reviews of commission statements to identify discrepancies and perform reconciliations with accounting records. Generate and issue commission statements for property and casualty insurance agents, ensuring all calculations are correct and compliant with company policies. Address and resolve any inquiries or disputes related to commission statements from agents and internal stakeholders. Research commission payments, statements and system discrepancies and resolve with internal and/or external teams. Identify areas for improvement in the commission processing workflow and implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Analyze complex carrier documentation to ensure accurate and timely commissions. Prepare monthly operational deliverables in support of the Finance close. Complete internal and external audits to support SOX testing of Revenue Operations controls. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to commission calculations, adjustments, and communications with agents. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Operational Management, Business Analyst or a related field required. 2+ years of experience in compliance, insurance operations, or a related field. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strict attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Ability to create VLOOKUP formulas and other formulas for analysis and review functions. Ability to work in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment, prioritize appropriately, work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and perform to high standards of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Required Competencies: Exceptional communication and organizational skills Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within cross-department teams Detail oriented and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently Strong interpersonal skills Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 based on skills and experience. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Hybrid Schedule: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, from 9 AM-6 PM (Plano, TX). What are the Perks?
