The successful candidate will help migrate critical customer data flows in a secure, agile, and innovative AWS environment leveraging GitLab for CI/CD and Terraform for infrastructure as code. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.\n\nWhat will you do:\n\nLead the planning and execution of migrating and maintaining large complex data flows to modern cloud environments, specifically leveraging AWS cloud technologies.\nSupport and enhance COTS products providing file transfer and MQ services (e.g., IBM MQ, Connect:Direct), integrating them into modern AWS architecture.\nWrite clean, maintainable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud service logic using tools such as Python, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation or CDK.\nDevelop and support infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.\nPerform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation of AWS environments and deployed solutions.\nCoordinate closely with stakeholders across teams to manage integration and interface requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall business objectives.\nQualifications\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD or 9 years of experience and a High School Diploma.\nExperience supporting or integrating message file transfer tools using Axway Secure Transport SFTP/HTTPS\nExperience with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience implementing monitoring and logging solutions in the cloud such as: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, TEOS.\nExperience with scripting (Shell, Python, or similar) for configurations and deployments.\nProficiency automating service tool deployments, such as Lambda, EC2, EKS.\nFamiliarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.\nKnowledge of networking concepts (firewalls, ports, TLS/SSL, certificates)\nExperience communicating with business users and stakeholders.\nMust be a US Citizen.\nMust be able to obtain/maintain the required agency clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong background in AWS cloud engineering and development, including experience with services such as: EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, EKS/ECS, Secrets Manager, Key Vaults.\nFamiliarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile delivery teams (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).\nUnderstanding compliance and security best practices in federal financial cloud environments.\nDetails\nTarget Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
