You will be expected to keep up with industry standards, doing literature reviews, as well as developing new techniques.\nThe Pricing Data Analyst will have the opportunity to work with a large array of data (sales, price, customer, website, etc), tools, and technologies (Python, RStudio, BigQuery, Micro Strategy, Excel, etc.)\nJob Responsibilities\nWork with Pricing Analytics leadership to design, prototype, develop and execute econometric models for data driven price optimization techniques.\nTake initiative, apply critical thinking, and drive creative solutions that add measurable business value.\nRapidly learn and understand Bed Bath & Beyond's business, data, and table structure with little direction.\nLead and contribute to complex pricing projects with minimal oversight.\nBuild, implement and maintain pricing algorithms on complex datasets.\nDesign, run and monitor price tests to evaluate new hypotheses and new strategic initiatives.\nTranslate complex model results into clear business insights and recommendations.\nDevelop and maintain pricing tools and Python scripts to automate pricing processes.\nAnalyze business data to identify pricing opportunities that drive revenue and profitability.\nValidate, test, and iterate on models to ensure performance and accuracy.\nEvaluate alternative strategic approaches and recommend optimal pricing decisions.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to implement solutions.\nCommunicate insights clearly to senior managers and stakeholders.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nFollow legal policies as directed.\nJob Requirements\nMust-Have Qualifications\nBachelor's degree (or U.S. equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or related field) and 2+ years of post-collegiate work experience conducting data analysis or PhD in a quantitative field.\nExperience with SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets.\nExperience with at least one modeling framework (e.g: SciKit Learn, SAS, R, MATLAB)\nKnowledge in statistics and mathematical concepts (e.g: hypothesis testing, regression)\nExperience creating and telling stories from data.\nExcellent communication skills and experience with cross-team collaboration.\nExperience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.\nExperience creating and telling stories from data including the use of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Microstrategy.\nExperience using Microsoft Suite Tools (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel).\nNice-to-Have Qualifications\nExperience in the online retail industry.\nExperience building, implementing and maintaining pricing algorithms on complex datasets.\nExperience conducting price tests and utilizing statistical methods to measure the performance of new pricing initiatives.\nExperience automating analyses and manual processes via SQL and Python scripts.\nExperience designing, developing and maintaining Python scripts to automate manual processes.\nExperience communicating data analysis findings to executive leadership.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree (or U.S. equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or related field) or PhD in a quantitative field.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions.
