This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for hazardous material remediation and demolition projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental remediation, construction estimating and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications and hazardous materials surveys to determine scope and pricing.Conduct site visits to assess conditions, logistics and potential risks.Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, permits and subcontractors.Develop and submit professional proposals and bid packages.Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure alignment between estimate and execution.Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.Track bid outcomes and analyze estimate performance for continuous improvement.Stay current on industry trends, regulations and best practices.Skills5+ years of experience in hazardous material abatement or demolition estimating.Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and environmental reports.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.Asbestos Supervisor or Inspector certification (preferred but not required).
