You will be required to execute a physician’s orders and address the patient’s needs and issues.\nYour main objective will be to become a people's trusted ally against health issues.\nResponsibilities\nFill prescriptions, verify instructions from doctors on the proper amounts of medicine to give to patients.\nReview prescription medications by checking their legality and appropriateness.\nOrganize the pharmacy efficiently to make the identification of the medications faster and easier.\nDispense medications by packaging and labeling pharmaceutical products.\nMonitor patient compliance and to limit excessive usage or harmful interactions.\nHelp patients by providing them appropriate solutions and information they are looking for based on prescribed medicine.\nProvide assistance with other medical services like temperature measurements, injections, etc.\nSupervise the duties of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists under training.\nEducate health care practitioners about correct medication therapies.\nKeep a record of the patient’s history and update it on a regular basis.\nComply well with all the legal regulations, rules and procedures.\nRequirements\nGraduate from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) or relevant field.\nA valid Pharmacist license in the state of Texas will be mandatory.\nComprehensive knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.\nThorough understanding of chemical compounds, medical brands, dosage administration, etc.\nKnow-how of treatments along with their side effects.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Liberty dispensing software and other software applications, used by pharmaceutical companies, MediSpan, UpToDate, Lexicomp, DailyMed.\nExcellent organizational and management skills.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nExceptional analytical skills.\nExceptional attention to details.\nKnowledge and willingness to learn of non-sterile compounding procedures and pharmacist duties\nOther duties as directed\nPhysical requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers. May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.), including boxes, equipment, and stooping or kneeling (eg. To pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves, and to file documents in lower file drawers). Walking or standing for long periods of time (4-12 hours) is often necessary.
