The center also includes a Pancreas Disease Center, a GI Motility Clinic, and Advanced Heart Failure and VAD programs.Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.EducationAdditional Job Description:Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is (required)All new-hire Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire (required)Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (preferred)ExperienceAll new RN graduates will participate in the Nurse Residency program and must successfully complete all activities (required)Two years of hospital patient care experience (preferred)LicensureCurrent KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)CertificationBasic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)Note: additional, specialized certifications may be required or preferred based on unit
