{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"8459e0dc69fe2af9d787a2d9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8459e0dc69fe2af9d787a2d9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8459e0dc69fe2af9d787a2d9","title":"Senior Customer Solutions Engineer","description":"It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!\nJob Description Summary:\nOur Enterprise Suite Professional Services Team is looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to provide technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to support our Customers’ Digital Transformation.\nThe ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill and relevant project experience in at least one of the following focus areas:\nInfrastructure modernization projects\nApplication modernization projects\nProcess modernization projects\nThe candidate will also be able to deploy fit for purpose workload in a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, evolve from monolithic application to Cloud-Native API Microservices, and embrace an enterprise-wide DevOps discipline to deliver application faster.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities :\nProvide services to customers\nWorks on complex project scope with minimal direction from with Customer/SI nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.\nContributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the deployment Rocket products.\nContribute to implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architects.\nUses and contributes to technical forums within the Rocket Enterprise Suite environment.\nApplies own subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common technical issues.\nExercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.\nCommunicates project status and risks to project technical lead and PM.\nUse technical experience to give customer sound technical advice.\nDetermine if change is a product defect or enhancement before communicating to customer.\nParticipates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.\nExpected Qualification and Soft Skills\n5-7 years of relevant technical experience\nExcellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner\nProactive and able to work under pressure\nExperience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and or maintenance\nMust have an analytical mind set to analyze test result and facilitate defect resolution\nOrganized and methodical, dealing with numerous tasks.\nFluent in written and verbal English.\nRequested Technical skills\nMust have Rocket Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer experience.\nAdditionally, technical skills to include two or more of the following:\nIBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming experience\nSystem level experience of IBM CICS; IMS and JCL\nRelational databases, such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; PostgreSQL\nWindows operating system\nLinux/UNIX operating system\nKnowledge of major Cloud Provider infrastructure and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker / Kubernetes\nDesired Project Experience\nA practical experience of mainframe application modernization project is highly desirable.
