Using the evidence-based Health Families America (HFA) model, the program promotes positive parenting, healthy child development, and family well-being while helping prevent child abuse and neglect. Through relationship-based support, parent education, and connections to community resources, First Steps serves families facing stressors that may place them at increased risk for poor health and development outcomes.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nUnder the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Supervisor provides supervision and support to direct service staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered home visiting services in accordance with Healthy Families America standards, program policies and organizational goals. Program Supervisors partner with home visitors to help them support families, and assist in providing family-centered, strength-based interventions for parents. Services will be kept within the agency and program specific goals, objectives, mission, and style provided within a team framework.\n\nDUTIES:\n\nConduct weekly administrative, clinical, and reflective supervision with Home Visitors to support professional development and strengthen service delivery. Supervise up to six Home Visitors to ensure adherence to program standards.\nEnsure Home Visitors adhere to Healthy Families America (HFA) model and maintain fidelity to designated program curriculum, standards, and service delivery practices.\nCollaborate with County-wide Coordinator and Evaluator to support HFA site accreditation in the South Region, including preparation for the HFA re-accreditation process.\nAdhere to HFA supervisor standards and guidelines, including maintaining required client and Home Visitor specific documentation and supporting client-level case plan development., including documentation standards for supervisors consisting of maintaining client and home visitor specific documentation and client level case plan development.\nComplete data entry and other required documentation in a timely manner and oversee home visitors’ documentation and data entry for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to HFA standards and guidelines.\nImplement quality assurance activities in accordance with the program’s Quality Assurance (QA) Plan to monitor service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.\nImplement quality assurance activities as outlined in the QA Plan.\nTrain and orient new staff to program policies, procedures, service delivery practices, and HFA standards.\nSupport staff development and conduct performance evaluations in collaboration with the Program Director. Responsible for staff development and evaluations in conjunction with the Program Director.\nSupport with home visits as needed for staff shadowing, coaching and service continuity during periods of staff unavailability.\nParticipate in the planning, implementation, and oversight of First 5 program evaluation activities, including accurate and timely data entry, monitoring, and reporting through CMEDS and other applicable data systems.\nAssign cases and monitor caseloads to ensure balanced workloads and compliance with HFA guidelines and program requirements.\nCollaborate with Program Director to monitor and ensure the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of program services.\nSupport implementation of Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) requirements and collaborate with the Prevention Hub to ensure activities and services align with applicable requirements and objectives with Prevention Hub.\nAssist with planning and implementing monthly parent groups and graduation activities to promote engagement and recognition of family accomplishments.\nParticipate in on-going training and assist in identifying staff training needs.\nParticipate in required county-wide Program supervisor meetings with funder and county-wide coordinator- AAP.\nAdhere to agency and First 5 standards of client confidentiality, HIPAA, and mandated reporting policies.\nAttend all agency required meetings and trainings.\nOther duties assigned.\nRequirements:\nMust have a bachelor's degree in child development, health, social services or a closely related field OR a minimum of one year of experience in HFA implementation. Master’s degree preferred.\nExperience and knowledge in implementing evidence-based models and maintaining fidelity to established program standards. Including the HFA model, preferred.\nPrior supervisory experience preferred, preferably in a family-support, home visiting, social services, or related setting.\nExperience with family services that embraces concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision.\nBilingual (English/ Spanish), preferred.\nExperience working with families who have children ages 0-5 years, with a strong background in early childhood prevention and family support services.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience directly providing in-home parenting education and support services, required\nAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals, families, community partners, and professional organizations.\nAbility to teach and model effective problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n Demonstrated initiative and ability to establish goals, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of organization.\nMust possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams to develop, update, maintain and manage spreadsheets and data reports.\nExperience supporting culturally diverse families, possess cultural sensitivity, and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.\nKnowledge of infant and child development, and parent-child attachment.\nSolid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments.\nKnowledge of parent-infant health and the dynamics, risk factors, and prevention of child abuse and neglect.\nWillingness to engage in building reflective practice.
