This position teams up with marketing, engineering, information services and product managers to design, build, and maintain user-centric websites, web applications, and online products.\n\nThis role is performed remotely. Candidates must be willing and able to work PST core hours to allow for team collaboration.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nDevelops and maintains full stack Drupal websites, including custom module and theme development (PHP, Twig, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS), configuration management, and integration with third-party APIs and services, ensuring performance, security, and accessibility standards are met across front-end and back-end components in collaboration with the web development team.\nMaintains web content including large product catalog pages in multiple languages throughout Hunter’s family of websites.\nTroubleshoots bugs reported and test accuracy of the fix and implementation.\nBuilds queries to MySQL databases to provide data essential to the user’s experience.\nOwnership of feature implementation.\nConverts comprehensive mockups or wireframes into fully functional webpages.\nMaintains and enhances web applications including Single Sign-On, Content Management Systems, Learning Management System, and in-house developed applications.\nLeverages AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar coding agents) to accelerate development cycles, improve code quality, and reduce manual effort across the full stack.\nCreates site diagrams and may create project workflow diagrams and wireframes.\nUtilizes web analytics to suggest improvements to the Hunter websites.\nAssists in optimizing web site content and structure to enhance search engine optimization, ensuring privacy and cookie consent, and achieving accessibility standards.\nProtects the Hunter brand image, integrity, and consistency wherever it appears internally, publicly, and electronically, maintaining a defined set of graphic standards.\nPerforms peer review of feature implementation, enhancements and bug fixes.\nCollaborates with Project Managers and Creatives and consult on maintainable solutions.\n\nEducation/Training Required and Preferred:\n\nBachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.\n\nExperience Required and Preferred:\n\nMinimum 3 years of experience in website development and design.\n\n What You Bring:\n\nAdvanced knowledge of HTML, jQuery, PHP, CSS, and ability to hand code without reference material.\nExperience designing and developing responsive design websites and ability to write media queries.\nExperience developing websites with open-source content management systems, Drupal preferred.\nStrong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other professional graphic design software.\n Understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment.\nKnowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).\nExperience working on a Mac platform.\nEffective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other departments.\nExcellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to interact with members across the organization.\nExperience with a versioning system (Git, SVN, etc.) preferred.\nExperience with design frameworks (Foundation, Bootstrap, etc.) preferred.\nExperience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, etc.) preferred.\nAbility to create custom Drupal modules preferred.\nLeverage AI tools responsibly to increase speed and reliability of code delivery.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nFUN company events!\nCompany donation matching and volunteer rewards\nCareer development opportunities and profit sharing bonus\nAmazing corporate culture - we walk the walk when it comes to our values!\n\nFollow us on LinkedIn, check out our rave reviews on Glassdoor, and learn more about our company culture on our career site: http://corporate.hunterindustries.com/careers (http://corporate.hunterindustries.com/careers)\n\nHunter is a global leader in the irrigation, outdoor lighting, dispensing technology, and custom manufacturing industries.
