This role supervises the glass container line operation while effectively maximizing the utilization of equipment through a sound preventative maintenance program.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain a constant safety environment and provide necessary training updates while striving for zero accidents and complying with OSHA standards\nOrganize and coordinate the maintenance repairs of all equipment within assigned responsibility including maintaining a necessary inventory of replacement parts\nProvide regular training of personnel as needed to maintain new and existing equipment and ensure good Glass Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed\nDevelop and implement process controls to provide continuous improvement\nEstablish and maintain positive team relations with employees, other departments' customers, and the union\nMaintain administrative records in a timely fashion necessary to comply with job requirements such as manning, scheduling, maintenance activities, attendance, grievance documentation, and capital projects\nManage work orders through the asset reliability maintenance system\nComply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities\n\nMinimum skills/qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nFive (5) years of experience working in industrial maintenance\nTwo (2) years of experience in a supervisory role\nProficient mechanical and electrical aptitude\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nWorking knowledge of an asset reliability system\nProficient Microsoft Office Suite\nMust be able to work weekends and nights as needed\nAbility to travel up to 20%\n\nPreferred skills/qualifications:\nAssociate's degree in engineering or a related field\nPrior experience in the glass industry\nLean Six Sigma certification\nBenefits Offered:\nMedical, prescription, dental and vision plans\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nLife insurance\n401(k) retirement plan with company match\nPaid holidays and vacation\nShort- and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD)\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nApprenticeship programs\nProfessional and personal development opportunities through Employee Resource Groups\n\nPlease note the compensation and benefits information above is accurate as of the date of this posting.
