Come join our team today!\r\nPosition Summary\r\nThe apprentice provides site support and assists supervisors, foreman, and electricians with the day-to-day operations on utility scale solar projects. The apprentice will complete all tasks assigned by leadership which vary from assisting with installations, troubleshooting issues that arise, facilitating required repairs, and calibrations of electrical equipment. As a registered apprentice, you will be enrolled in our comprehensive four-year registered apprenticeship program. This program incorporates a combination of classroom learning and practical on-the-job training to thoroughly prepare you for your journey-worker's certification. An apprentice should be eager to learn and able to follow instructions.\r\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\r\nCultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel.\r\nWillingness to learn electrical trade.\r\nAbility to follow written and verbal instruction.\r\nReceive, store, and protect project material and equipment, including owner furnished items; documenting and reporting any shortages and damage immediately.\r\nSafely utilize equipment assigned to project facility.\r\nAssist supervisors in completing site logistic activities.\r\nAssist supervisors with completing electrical installations.\r\nAssist supervisors with identifying, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical.\r\nInterpret blueprints and schematics.\r\nProvide support and assistance to other Cinterra divisions as needed.\r\nCommunication with customers in a professional and courteous manner always.\r\nSupport and encourage safety as a core value throughout the duration of the project.\r\nDemonstrate a professional demeanor.\r\nHandle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.\r\nRequirements\r\nHigh School diploma or GED (preferred).\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\r\nMust be eligible to work in the United States.\r\nMust be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed, with ability to travel full-time.\r\nSome experience reading and interpreting plans, and specifications (preferred).\r\nEffective time management skills, understands how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.\r\nCollaborative work style and commitment to get the job completed.\r\nWilling and able to endure working in the elements.\r\nPass a background test and drug screen.\r\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\r\nThis job often operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required.
