In this role, the Assistant Director will support and mentor teaching staff, help ensure classrooms are running smoothly and effectively, maintain licensing compliance, assist with family communication, and support overall school operations. The Assistant Director serves as a leader within the school community and plays a vital role in ensuring the program operates professionally, efficiently, and successfully each day.Why you'll love working with usPaid time off aligned with the school calendar, including Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer Break, and additional paid holidays throughout the year.Comprehensive benefits, including Health, Dental and Vision insurance3 teacher teaching teams per classroomOpportunities for professional growth, supportive leadership, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families each day.What you'll doMaintain accurate, organized, and confidential child and staff files in accordance with state licensing regulations and school policies.Monitor and track expiration dates for required staff certifications, training, and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.Conduct routine audits of child and staff recordsCommunicate with families and staff regarding missing, expired, or upcoming required documentation.Support licensing visits, inspections, and compliance reviews by maintaining organized and readily accessible records.Conduct regular classroom observations to ensure classrooms maintain high-quality teaching practices, appropriate classroom management, and compliance with school and licensing standards.Provide support, coaching, and constructive feedback to teaching staff to help promote professional growth and classroom success.Monitor classroom supply levels and coordinate the ordering, organization, and distribution of materials and resources throughout the school.Collaborate with teaching staff to identify classroom needs and support curriculum-related material requests.Help maintain inventory organization and assist with managing school supply budgets and purchasing processes.Willingness and ability to step into classrooms as needed to support ratio requirements, provide break coverage, and ensure smooth daily operations across the school.What we're looking forExtensive experience in Early Childhood Education, with a strong understanding of child development and best practices in preschool programming.Previous leadership or administrative experience in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting.Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and classroom compliance requirements.Experience supporting and managing challenging behaviors in early childhood settings, using positive guidance strategies, redirection, and developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques.Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to effectively support staff and families.Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced school environment.Passion for creating a positive, nurturing, and collaborative school culture for children, families, and staff.ScheduleMonday-FridayFull timeSalary Range: $60,000-$65,000/annuallyThis business is independently owned and operated.
