LifeSci Capital is a member of FINRA and SIPC.The RoleAs an Associate on our Healthcare Investment Banking team, you will be a key contributor to transaction execution and origination across the life sciences sector (with a focus on biotech and biopharma) while operating in a platform where research insights and investor engagement directly inform capital markets outcomes. You will work closely with senior bankers and cross‑functional partners (ECM, Research, and the broader LifeSci Partners businesses) to structure, market, and execute a wide range of transactions and strategic advisory assignments.What You’ll DoDrive day‑to‑day execution on live mandates across equity and debt financings, sell‑side and buy‑side M&A, private capital advisory, and strategic alternatives processes; manage workstreams, timelines, and deliverables.Build, review, and present qualitative and quantitative analyses to support client decision‑making.Draft and refine client materials, including pitch books, engagement letters, CIMs, management presentations, board materials, NDR/ECM materials, and offering documents.Assist in or lead due diligence (business, financial, market, clinical/regulatory, and operational)Mentor and oversee Analysts (and summer talent) to ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness across all work products.Contribute to business development: track sector themes, prepare strategic content for senior banker meetings, and help maintain client and investor relationships.What You’ll BringAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a relevant Investment Banking role (equity focused highly preferred.) This role is ideally suited for a 3rd year Analyst or 1st year Associate.Experience in healthcare/life sciences (biotech/biopharma/medtech) and comfort with life science-specific issues around clinical, regulatory and commercial.Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills; rigorous attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.Strong written and verbal communication skills; poise with clients, investors, and senior internal stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines while leading junior team members.Licensing: FINRA Series 79 and 63 (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
