QualificationStrong hands-on experience with Databricks & Apache Spark, building and operating large-scale, production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Delta Lake (MERGE, incremental loads, performance tuning, OPTIMIZE/Z-ORDER).Expert-level Python for data engineering: clean, testable, production-quality code; experience with pandas/pyarrow, API integrations, logging, error handling, and reusable frameworks.Proven experience with data harvesting and ingestion from APIs, vendor feeds, files, and streams, including schema evolution, CDC, idempotency, retries, and high-volume processing.Deep understanding of data modeling and lakehouse architecture, including bronze/silver/gold patterns, dimensional modeling, and analytics-ready datasets.Experience enabling AI/ML use cases through feature engineering pipelines, curated training datasets, batch scoring, and collaboration with data science teams.Strong Spark and SQL performance optimization skills, including partitioning strategies, shuffle reduction, file sizing, and cost/performance tradeoffs at scale.Hands-on experience with orchestration and CI/CD for data pipelines (Databricks Workflows, Airflow/ADF, Git-based workflows, automated testing).Demonstrated ownership of data quality, reliability, and observability, including validation checks, monitoring, alerting, backfills, and SLA management.Experience working within data governance and security frameworks, including access controls, secrets management, PII handling, and compliance requirements.Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, partner
