Working closely with Quality Engineers, Machinists, and Production teams, this role ensures strict compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, GD&T standards, and ISO 9001 quality requirements.\nYour Responsibilities:\nCreate, test, and maintain automated CMM inspection programs using 3D CAD models and 2D engineering prints.\nDesign, select, and assemble custom inspection holding fixtures and styli configurations for diverse component geometries.\nPerform initial dry runs to ensure offline/online CMM programs operate safely and efficiently without probe collisions.\nDimensional Inspection & Data Analysis:\nExecute First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product layouts per customer and internal requirements.\nInterpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to verify part conformance.\nAnalyze measurement data, generate non-conformance reports, and collaborate with CNC machining and engineering teams to resolve dimensional off-spec trends.\nCalibration & Quality Support:\nMaintain calibration schedules, qualification records, and proper operating conditions for CMM equipment and precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, gage pins, height gages).\nSupport Material Review Board activities by evaluating rejected parts and determining accurate disposition data.\nAssist in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analyses and Statistical Process Control implementation across manufacturing cells.\nTrain and mentor CMM operators on daily program execution, probe calibration, and measurement best practices.\nRequirements:\nExperience: 3+ years of experience in offline/online CMM programming within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment (thermal, aerospace, industrial equipment, or precision metal fabrication preferred).\nTechnical Proficiency:\nAdvanced proficiency in major CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss CALYPSO, MCOSMOS, or PolyWorks).\nExpert knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation.\nStrong familiarity with precision hand metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators).\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required;\nAssociate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Technology, or related technical field preferred.\nSoft Skills & Physical Demands:\nHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills to interface effectively with floor operators, quality engineers, and management.\nAbility to lift up to 30–35 lbs as required during fixture setup and component handling.\nPay Range $ 32.00 - 38.00 an hour\n\nAt Durex Industries, we are not just an employer but a champion of equal opportunities and inclusivity.
