This is a unique opportunity for a licensed engineer who enjoys balancing technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. In this role, you will oversee a team of drafters and designers, review and approve structural plans, provide engineering guidance, and place your professional seal on construction drawings and calculations.\n\nIf you're a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys solving complex design challenges while mentoring others and influencing projects from concept through production, we'd like to speak with you.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nEngineering Leadership\n\n* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAD drafters and designers.\n* Review drawings, calculations, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.\n* Establish drafting and engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.\n* Coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution.\n\nStructural Engineering\n\n* Design and analyze structural systems for residential manufactured home building projects.\n* Perform structural calculations and engineering evaluations using approved software and industry standards.\n* Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and national building codes.\n* Review and approve construction documents, specifications, and design modifications.\n* Apply your professional engineering seal to drawings, calculations, and engineering documents where required.\n\nProject Management\n\n* Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.\n* Collaborate with customers, third-party agencies, and regulatory authorities throughout the approval process.\n* Provide technical support during construction, manufacturing, and installation phases.\n* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings.\n\nWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\n* Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.\n* Ability to stamp and seal structural drawings and engineering documents.\n* Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience.\n* Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring drafting/design teams.\n* Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building codes.\n* Experience with structural analysis and engineering software.\n* Proficiency with AutoCAD and construction drawing review.\n* Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n* Experience within modular, manufactured, residential, or light commercial construction.\n* Multi-state engineering licensure or ability to obtain additional state licenses.\n* Experience working with third-party reviewing agencies and code compliance organizations.\n\nTravel Requirements\n\n* Moderate travel required (approximately 10%).\n* Travel may include visits to manufacturing facilities, project sites, customer meetings, regulatory agencies, and field inspections.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\n* Lead a skilled and growing design team.\n* Make a direct impact on projects, processes, and company success.\n* Work for a dynamic organization that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.\n* Collaborate with talented professionals in engineering, construction, manufacturing, and operations.\n* Opportunity to influence design standards and engineering excellence across the organization.\n\nBuild More Than Structures.
