We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.\nFDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.\nFDM is seeking a Senior HPNS Developer located in St. Petersburg to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended.\nThis role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.\nAbout You\nAs part of the Back Office development team, this Senior HP NonStop Engineer will analyze business requirements, problems, and deliver quality technical solutions. This team is responsible for application development, modification, maintenance, and support for the IT Back Office. This individual will be actively involved in highly critical back-office applications that involve Corporate Actions, Trade Clearance and Securities Transfer. This individual will also be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Handles complex back-end systems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.\nLeverage AI platforms for documentation, test automation, support and respond to user It and business stakeholders.\nMonitor batch jobs, diagnose, and correct performance issues.\nMonitor, identify, and correct software defects and find creative ways, comfortable to work in a dynamic environment to maintain fully functioning applications software.\nTeamwork and collaboration with various stake holders are highly expected.\nMay lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.\nMay recommend new technologies and methodologies to management with both tactical and strategic methods to meet business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.\nIdentify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.\nObtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.\nParticipates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.\nProvides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.\nWrites and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.\nCreate and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.\nEnsures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.\nClarity in communication clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.\nDemonstrate good technical and professional skills or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.\nDevelop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.\nConsistently integrate AI-based tools into daily workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nSkills/Previous Experience:\nMore than five (5) years of relevant development or engineering experience is highly preferred.\nExperience in HP NonStop COBOL85, HPNS SQL/MX and SQL/MP.\nExperience in Pathway servers and configuration.\nExperience working on HP NonStop/Tandem Guardian OS application development.\nFull Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.\nExperience working with batch job processing, handling large date volume is required.\nExperience working in Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid software development methodologies. Experience with brokerage and clearing business/industry is nice to have.\nExperience with Middle Office and Back Office domains is a strong plus.\nExperience with messaging platforms (e.g., MQ) is a plus.\nExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.\nExperience working in remote and globally distributed business environments, employing a variety of in-person and remote collaboration tools, including email, phone, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Azure-DevOps, etc.\nMay occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.
