Find your future with us.\nBoeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Radar Target Generator Design Engineer for Flight Simulation Labs, located in Berkeley, MO.\nThe Flight Simulation Labs organization has expertise supporting marketing, design, development, integration, test and training objectives for Boeing military aircraft such as T-7, F-15, F-18, and MQ-25. As a Radar Test Station Design Engineer, you will be a part of a team of engineers who develops, upgrades, maintains integration test sites and their subcomponents for use in avionics systems integration laboratories (SILs). You will utilize engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to create and refine hardware designs, specifications, and architectures for various radar test stations and systems, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives\nPosition Responsibilities:\nAnalyze customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications needed in various SIL test sites / common products for new systems as well as upgrades to existing equipment located in STL as well as at remote locations\nDevelop high-level and detailed designs consistent with these requirements and specifications\nDevelop and maintain Radar test station hardware\nValidate designs through various methods of analysis, peer review, standalone testing\nIdentify, track and status technical performance measures to gauge progress / ensure requirement compliance\nSupport supplier management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services such as fabrication\nIntegrate designs into existing SILs infrastructure\nProvide engineering support to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of these and existing SIL products\nInvestigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements\nSignificant internal and external customer interaction\nMaintain configuration management of test station hardware and software\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n5+ Years of experience in engineering\n3+ Years of experience in modern radar systems\n3+ Years of experience in Radar Integration and/or Analysis\nComprehensive understanding of circuit design, working with schematics\nKnowledgeable in RF and Microwave design\nFamiliar with Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM)\nAware of Real Time systems constraints\nUnderstanding of field-programmable gate array (FPGA)\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):\nExperience with hardware/software integration and testing\nExperience in working with and developing embedded hardware/software architectures\nExperience with internal Radar operation\nExperience with Radar testing\nExperience with VPX racks and embedded PCs\nExperience in Agile Methodologies and tools\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process\nShift:\nThis position is for 1st Shift\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
