Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, supports ethical decisions and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts.Extensive travel will be required for this position.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises craft personnel and on occasion salaried personnel in dredge moves and routine dredging tasksQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Minimum Qualifications:3+ years’ experience working as a Leverman on a Cutter Suction DredgeMust be able to pass a post offer physical exam and drug screenMust be able to work 8 to 12 hour shifts, on all types of dredges or marine construction projectsMust be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, and high noise levelsAble to communicate well as part of a small team, and work cooperatively with other colleagues.Must be able to travel and work a rotating scheduleExperience digging on a 30” Hydraulic Cutter Dredge is preferredGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to give and receive, understand, respond and follow verbal and written communication/ and instructionsCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust have a valid picture IDWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, to grasp, grip, handle, or feel. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures.
