The Project Engineer is a member of Trane's Energy Services team and is responsible for validating energy savings and providing ongoing measurement and verification activities for projects with energy savings and decarbonization. The Project Engineer participates in all phases of the project and actively searches for opportunities to help customers optimize their energy savings.\n\nWhat you will do:\nCollect and analyze building automation controls (BAS) trend data.\nAnalyze utility bill data.\nAssist in peer review of validation reports.\nAnalyze on-site measurements and short-term data collection during construction and post retrofit periods as required.\nCoordinate activities with local Trane offices for fulfillment of measurement and verification plans.\nParticipate in transition meetings with operations team to ensure project scope, objectives, timeline, and customer requirements have been achieved, and the start of the performance period is properly documented.\nCoordinate with lead Validation Engineer to assess the impact on guaranteed savings of any changes to the contract scope of work.\nResponsible for completing assigned tasks on time and within budget.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor's Degree or experience in a field related to Measurement & Verification of system performance required; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required\nCandidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.\nKnowledge of Microsoft 365 software.\nBasic understanding and ability to read and interpret utility bills and building energy consumption.\nExperience with commercial HVAC, building automation controls, electrical, and domestic water systems.\nBasic knowledge with the concepts and principles of International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).\nExcellent communication skills and ability to interface professionally with customers at all levels.\nRequires a responsible, well organized, self-starter individual who can handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work under and adhere to preset deadlines.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$91,516.66 - $148,200.00\nCompensation Type:\nSalary\nIncentive Eligible:\nYes\nSales Commission Eligible:\nNo\nDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
