In this role, you will design, enhance, and deliver internal technology solutions that emphasize security, automation, and seamless integration across platforms in our Cyber Security Organization.\nResponsibilities:\nEssential Functions\nDesigns and develops python-based applications, tools, and automation scripts\nMaintains, improves, and extends existing software with limited assistance from other associates\nWorks collaboratively/professionally in a team environment to determine general approach and specific solutions to technical problems and achieve goals\nReviews complex tasks for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy/accuracy\nWorks with Garmin security analysts to develop/implement automated security workflows\nResponsible for planning small/medium-sized projects or tasks, makes substantial contributions to determining the feasibility of goals/objectives, and provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques\nPerforms technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems\nServes as a mentor to less experienced Engineers and Interns\nDemonstrates proficient use/knowledge of established standards/procedures, learns how to use/apply engineering tools as needed, and documents work thoroughly and in an organized manner\nUnderstands change is important and adapts well, demonstrates quality/effectiveness in work documentation and organization, and participates in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field AND a minimum of 2 years relevant experience\nExperience programming in Python in addition to an alternative language such as Java, C#, etc.\nExperience with CaC and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform\nFlexible and adaptable to potential changes in project prioritization\nDemonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions\nMust demonstrate proficiency and possess experience necessary to design, enhance and develop single and multi-system applications\nDemonstrated ability to learn and understand secure coding practices\nDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with log management platforms such as Elastic, Splunk, or similar technologies\nExperience with UI development\nExperience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm\nExperience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions\nExperience with enterprise grade firewall technologies\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
