The Production Assembleris responsibleforfollowing engineering documentation, along with company policies andprocedures, toassembleproducts that meet established quality standards.Responsibilities Follows engineering drawings and material listsin order toassembleproducts asrequired. Inspects completed products to ensure all quality standards are met,per established guidelines. Operates various machinery and/or equipment that is used during theproduction process. Can work quickly and efficientlyin order tomaximize product output,while minimizing labor costs. Remains flexible with the ability to transition to newtasksfrequently, and with minimal adjustment time. Completes all required job documentation promptly and accurately,according to company procedures. Alwaysmaintainsa clean and safe work environment. Follows AGMs Quality Management System processes and procedures. Learns to transition to various Production areas, such as Valveassembly and testing, Desiccator assembly, Special Packaging of AGMproducts, and assembly of Tie-Down Straps. Other duties may be assigned by a manager from another department,as needed.Skills & Abilities Organization & Attention to Detail:Must be organized,detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions provided verbally,in writing, or through diagrams. Mechanical Aptitude & Assembly Experience:Prior assembly experiencein a manufacturing environment ispreferred; basic mechanicalaptitude isrequired. Education Requirement:A High School Diploma or G.E.D. isrequired. Manufacturing Experience:At least one year of manufacturingExperiencepreferredbut Notrequired. English Communication:Musthavethe abilitytospeak, read, and writeEnglish effectively. Technical Reading & Documentation:Mustbe able to read and interpretengineering drawings, material lists, procedures, safetyrequirements, and work instructions, and complete basic job reportsand documentation. Basic Math Skills:Ability to apply basic math concepts (addition,subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages)in practical situations. Measurement Skills:Ability to read a ruler and/or use a tapemeasure. Problem Solving & Reasoning:Ability to think logically, apply jobknowledge, and interpret instructions provided in written, verbal,diagram, or schedule form.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job,thecandidatewillbe requiredto see,speakand hear, sit and/or stand, anduse hands to touch,handleor feel objects, including small parts andtools. Must be able to lift, up to 25 pounds, and occasionally may needto lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific visionAbilitiesrequiredfor This Position Include Close Vision, Distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and theability to adjust focus.Work Environment:The core functions of this position will take placeprimarily in a manufacturing environment. Thecandidatewill be workingwith moving mechanical parts and machinery. Occasionally,thecandidatemay be exposed to, or come in direct contact with,potentially hazardous chemicals or materials. All employees are expectedto follow the proper safety procedures associated with their workarea(s). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
