Must be able to work onsite up to five days per week as needed to support business needs.\r\nResponsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern software engineering best practices.\r\nBuild scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python.\r\nDevelop responsive, user-friendly front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.\r\nDevelop and maintain cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.\r\nManage source code using Git workflows, including branching, code reviews, and merge strategies.\r\nTroubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues across development, test, and production environments.\r\nCollaborate with software engineers, DevOps engineers, system administrators, and mission stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.\r\nParticipate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nEnsure applications meet security, performance, and reliability requirements.\r\nMinimum Requirements TS/SCI with current CI polygraph.\r\n5 or more years of professional software development experience.\r\nStrong experience developing applications with Java and/or Python.\r\nExperience building modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript.\r\nProficiency with relational database development.\r\nHands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.\r\nStrong understanding of Git version control and collaborative development workflows.\r\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).\r\nExperience collaborating on or contributing to UI/UX design, including creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces and improving overall user experience.\r\nExperience designing distributed or microservices-based architectures.\r\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Helm charts or Ansible.\r\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.\r\nPay Transparency The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000 – $150,000 – $165,000 annually.
