Sigray is growing quickly, so this is an opportunity with major growth potential.\nSoftware engineers at Sigray collaborate with our scientists to develop the front and backend software needed for a user to interface with our scientific equipment. Our instruments are used by process engineers and researchers across a variety of industries, but are rapidly growing in popularity for semiconductor process inspection routines in fabs and failure analysis (FA) laboratories.\nThis position is fully on-site, with no remote or hybrid work options available. Candidates must be able to work in-person at our Concord, CA office full-time.\nThe ideal candidate should have:\nInterest in working at a diverse and inclusive workplace\nExperience designing for process/inspection equipment or metrology tools\nExperience with SECS/GEM is a plus\nExcellent understanding of programming concepts and architecture\nExperience with constructing graphical user interfaces\nExperience building software that interacts with moving hardware\nExperience building supervisory control and data acquisition software\nBackground in software for semiconductor process control and/or wafer inspection tools\nThe ability to provide feedback to more junior engineers (code reviews and design reviews)\nThe ability to act as the primary software engineer on a project.\nInterest in maintaining code quality and experience with source control (ie Git, Subversion etc.), and automated testing\nProgramming experience in Python and C#\nComfort working in a collaborative environment\nSome experience with Linux\nAn interest in science, especially physics is a plus.\nRequirements: BS in a computational field or equivalent experience\nAdditional abilities of interest to the team are:\nBackground in UI/UX design for semiconductor test and/or inspection equipment\nExperience with continuous integration & automated testing (ie. The X-ray systems include X-ray spectroscopy, microfluorescence, and nano- and micro- computed tomography, as well as several unreleased instruments under active development. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of instrumentation design and programming of motion control systems.\nThe company was started by Dr. Wenbing Yun, who previously founded Xradia, a world leading x-ray microscopy company that was later successfully acquired by Carl Zeiss as its x-ray microscopy unit.
