The Superintendent will manage daily field operations, maintain schedule and quality, enforce safety and infection control protocols, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards for healthcare facilities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDirect and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work meets schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals.\nImplement and enforce OSHPD requirements, HCAI/infection control procedures, and other healthcare-specific regulations throughout construction.\nCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, craft workers, vendors, and inspectors; resolve conflicts and maintain productive trade relationships.\nDevelop, manage, and communicate detailed daily and weekly schedules; identify and mitigate potential delays and resource constraints.\nConduct regular site inspections and quality control checks; ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.\nLead pre-construction and coordination meetings with stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and facility representatives.\nMaintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, RFIs, submittals, change order documentation, and as-built records.\nManage site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to company safety policies and OSHA requirements.\nCoordinate with hospital operations to minimize disruption to patient care; manage access, noise, dust control, and infection prevention measures.\nMentor and supervise field personnel; support training to uphold quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.\nQualifications\n5+ years of Superintendent or Senior Field Supervisor experience on healthcare construction projects, including OSHPD-regulated work.\nExperience overseeing TI projects for Behavioral Health facilities a plus!\nProven knowledge and experience with OSHPD review/approval processes, HCAI/infection control protocols, and healthcare facility construction standards.\nDemonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and submittals.\nStrong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; experience coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders.\nWorking knowledge of construction scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and proficiency with project documentation and reporting.\nOSHA 30 certification required; additional safety, infection control, or OSHPD-specific training/certifications preferred.\nValid drivers license and reliable transportation; willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as project needs require.\nCommitment to quality, patient-safety-focused construction practices, and continuous improvement.\nBenefits\nCompetitive Compensation: $115k-185k base (DOE)\nMedical\nDental\nVision\nCompany-paid medical benefits\n401k\nPaid time off\nPaid holidays\nESOP\nCompany vehicle + fuel card\n...and more\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
