Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Lauderhill Schedule: Full time: Weekends We are looking for a compassionate and reliable HHA or CNA to provide quality in-home care for our adult patients. The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, and committed to helping others maintain dignity and comfort at home. Job Summary: The HHA or CNA provides assistance with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, physical transfer, and other duties as assigned, to patients in their place of residence. They function under the direction, instruction and supervision of the RN supervisor. Organizational Relationship: The HHA or CNA reports directly to the RN Supervisor Risk Of Occupational Exposure To Blood Borne Pathogens: B: limited exposure Qualifications: A High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved HHA or CNA training program or AHCA competency test. A minimum of one (1) year experience in home care or healthcare (preferred). The emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the patient, patient’s family, and the personnel of the Agency. Must have a criminal background check. Current CPR certification Duties and Responsibilities: · Assist patients with personal care: bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, and mobility · Provide light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe home environment · Support patients with transfers, range-of-motion exercises, and mobility aids · Measure and record vital signs and intake/output · Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the RN Supervisor · Remind patients to take prescribed medications (if trained in medication management) Functional Abilities: Able to lift, turn and transfer patients weighting up to 150+ pounds. Able to carry bundles upstairs weighing up to 10 pounds. Able to stoop and bend on a regular basis. Able to regularly travel to prospective patient’s place of residence. Able to hear and speak in a manner understood by most persons. Able to speak and understand English and Spanish. Must have a criminal background check.
