While the preference is for candidates to be based in Centennial, CO to facilitate in-person meetings and lab access as needed, fully remote candidates will be considered, with occasional travel required.\n\nKey Duties:\n\nDevelop, maintain, and modify flight software in support of launch vehicle and human spaceflight programs.\nWork as part of an Agile/Scrum team to support requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, and verification.\nWork with stakeholders to guide the design and development of software solutions.\nWrite and perform unit tests on software changes.\nConduct software peer reviews.\nDevelop and run integration tests.\nSupport embedded systems testing, hardware/software integration, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.\n\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:\n\nDue to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible for consideration at this time.\nThis position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.\nAbility to complete a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.\n5 or more years of experience with C++, Python, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, simulations, and Linux-based operating systems.\nExperience with object-oriented software design and development.\nExperience developing or maintaining automated software tests.\nExperience with requirements analysis, requirements verification, systems engineering concepts, and software/system integration.\nUnderstanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools, including Bitbucket and Jira.\nStrong software debugging skills.\nDemonstrated ability to write technical reports.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to support occasional travel up to 25%.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.\n\nDesired Skills, Experience, and Education:\n\nExperience using AI-assisted software development tools and workflows effectively to support software development, code analysis, testing, debugging, and documentation.\nExperience working in a SAFe/Agile environment.\nAerospace experience.\n\nBusiness Profile:\n\nCimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
